Azerbaijan's Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, has extended his congratulations to brotherly Turkey on the occasion of August 30 – Victory Day.

Operativ Media reports that Zakir Hasanov made the remarks during an official event held at the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan.

The minister noted that as a result of the decisive policy pursued by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey has achieved great success and become a powerful state.

According to him, every success of the brotherly country is welcomed with great joy in Azerbaijan.

Zakir Hasanov emphasized that Azerbaijan-Turkey brotherly relations have been further strengthened based on the principles of national leader Heydar Aliyev's "One nation, two states" and Mustafa Kemal Ataturk's "Azerbaijan's joy is our joy, its sorrow is our sorrow."
