Ukrainian ambassador summoned to Turkish Foreign Ministry

The Ukrainian ambassador to Ankara has been summoned to the Turkish Foreign Ministry over the targeting of Turkish ships in the Black Sea.

On August 26, the Turkish-operated cargo ship "Lider Bordo Mavi" was hit by a missile strike off the coast of the city of Tuapse in the Black Sea.
On August 27, the vessel "Lider Kocatepe," which was sent to tow the damaged ship, was also directly targeted by Ukrainian forces. Ankara's strong protest and stern warning were conveyed to the summoned Ukrainian ambassador.
During the meeting, necessary warnings were issued regarding the need to ensure the safety of life, property, navigation, and the environment in the Black Sea.
