Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has hailed his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Operativ Media reports that Pezeshkian said this while speaking about his meetings with several heads of state on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit.

The Iranian president noted that he held meetings with the presidents of Russia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan and Tajikistan.

According to him, the talks covered both the issue of aggression against Iran and bilateral relations.

Pezeshkian emphasized that the parties noted the possibility of ensuring peace and security in the region by assisting one another.
