US President Donald Trump has announced that the US military has carried out strikes against Iranian targets near the Strait of Hormuz.

Operativ Media reports that Trump shared this on his Truth Social account.

According to him, the strikes were carried out in response to Iran's attempt to lay naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz.

The US President also stated that Iran fired eight missiles at a US military base in Jordan, all of which were neutralized by US forces.

Trump warned that if Iran repeats the attack, the US will deliver a harsher and more extensive strike.

“The biggest blow is yet to come. When it is all over, very little will remain of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Trump said.
