Five people have been killed and at least 68 others injured after a US strike hit a wedding venue in the Iranian city of Sirik.

Operativ Media reports, citing the Fars news agency's report on a Red Crescent Society representative. Many minors are among the injured, who have been hospitalized in the cities of Sirik and Minab.

Earlier, the US Central Command announced a series of strikes against targets in Iran. According to Press TV, explosions were recorded on the country's southern coast, including Qeshm Island and several other cities.
