Issues discussed by Russian and US representatives revealed - UPDATED
Russian President Vladimir Putin's meeting with Donald Trump's envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who arrived in Moscow, was substantive, constructive, highly candid, and trust-based.
Operativ Media reports that this was stated by Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
Yuri Ushakov noted that the talks lasted more than three hours, and Witkoff and Kushner promised to use the assessments they received from Putin during their upcoming meetings in Kyiv.
At the same time, Putin presented a "comprehensive assessment" of the military operations in Ukraine and stressed the importance of addressing the root causes of the conflict:
"Witkoff and Kushner presented their proposals for resolving the conflict. The parties also discussed possible joint projects between Russia and the U.S."
The Kremlin official added that Putin and Trump would continue their personal contacts, while Witkoff and Kushner would work on the Ukrainian settlement.
