Azerbaijani badminton player Keisha Fatima Zahra has won a gold medal at the Cameroon International 2026 tournament.

Operativ Media reports that competing in the women's singles event of the International Challenge series tournament, Keisha Fatima Zahra started her campaign in the round of 16 due to her high ranking. After defeating a Ugandan badminton player in her opening match, Keisha advanced to the semifinals by beating a representative from the UAE in the quarterfinals. Her opponent in the semifinals was also an athlete from the UAE. After defeating her opponent in straight sets, Keisha Fatima Zahra faced another UAE badminton player in the final. Keisha Fatima Zahra defeated Prakriti Bharath 2-0 (21-16, 21-19) to claim the gold medal at the Cameroon International 2026 tournament.
