Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal has said that wearing the team's captain's armband ahead of the match against Feyenoord in the first round of the UEFA Champions League league phase is a great honor for him.

Operativ Media reports that in a statement to the official UEFA website, Yamal said that winning the Champions League is his greatest motivation.

“There is no greater motivation for me than winning the Champions League. This is the most special tournament. This time, everything could turn out well for us. Great players have joined our team,” he said.

Emphasizing that wearing the captain's armband at the age of 19 is a source of pride, Yamal thanked his teammates.

“I am very happy and want to give my all to the team. My dream is for our team to win titles. Personally, I want to develop and listen,” the Barcelona player noted.

The Barcelona vs. Feyenoord match will take place on September 9 at the Camp Nou stadium. The match will start at 21:45 Baku time.
