Manchester City midfielder Enzo Fernandez has praised the performance of his teammate Erling Haaland.

Operativ Media reports that the Argentine footballer spoke about this in comments to Amazon Prime.

Fernandez stated that the Norwegian forward is a highly dangerous player on the pitch and said he would try to pass to him in every game.

"Erling Haaland is an animal, a beast. Every time I am on the pitch, I will look for him, and I hope to help him score goals like this by providing him with plenty of assists," Fernandez said.

The 26-year-old Haaland scored both of Manchester City's goals in their 2-0 away victory against Porto in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League. He has scored 59 goals in 59 matches in the tournament.

Fernandez emphasized that Haaland has high qualities not only as a footballer but also as a person. According to him, the Norwegian forward warmly welcomed him when he first joined the team.

Haaland has brought his Champions League goal tally for Manchester City to 36, drawing level with Sergio Aguero.

The Norwegian forward has also climbed to seventh place on the tournament's all-time top scorers list, overtaking Thomas Müller.
