The 12th Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) will be held in Azerbaijan next year.

Operativ Media reports that Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov shared this on his X social media account.

"As part of the 11th Annual Meeting held in Doha, we participated in a ceremony where, by decision of the AIIB Board of Governors, the hosting of the next Annual Meeting was officially handed over to Azerbaijan. We express our gratitude for the high level of trust shown to our country. This decision reflects Azerbaijan's strong partnership with the AIIB and our country's active role in international financial and investment platforms. Hosting such a prestigious event in Azerbaijan will contribute to further expanding cooperation with international financial institutions, promoting new investment opportunities, and supporting sustainable economic development," he noted.
