Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev has met with the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaee.

Operativ Media reports that during the meeting, Rezaee stated that the US and Israeli attacks on Iran violated all norms of international law.

He noted that Iran has resolutely defended itself in response to this conflict.

According to him, US President Donald Trump "has fallen into a quagmire where he can neither negotiate nor wage war."

Rezaee stated that Iran's conditions have been conveyed to the US, but Trump is unable to make a decision. 

He claimed that the US, finding itself in a dead end, has shifted from military warfare to air blockade tactics.

The Iranian official added that throughout history, many foreign forces have come and gone in the region, but Iran and the regional countries have preserved their existence.
