Reports circulating on media platforms claiming that Syrian government officials and Hezbollah leaders met in Turkey under the auspices of the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) have been addressed.
Operativ Media reports that the Center for Combating Disinformation under the Turkish Presidency's Directorate of Communications has issued a statement on the matter.
The statement declared that the claims in question are completely groundless.
It noted that the claims made in the posts regarding the date, location, and content of the meeting, as well as the contacts between the parties, do not reflect reality and are fabricated and speculative.
The agency urged the public to rely only on statements from official sources.
