Ferran Torres leaves Spain national team camp due to injury
PSG forward Ferran Torres has left the Spain national team camp.
Operativ Media reports, citing the press service of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
The 26-year-old player left the team's camp due to discomfort in his left ankle. Although the issue did not initially prevent him from training or playing, the persistence of the symptoms led to the decision for Torres to return to his club to focus on his rehabilitation.
It was noted that RFEF doctors have been in constant contact with PSG's medical staff since the first day of the training camp, jointly monitoring the player's condition.
In place of Torres, head coach Luis de la Fuente has called up Spain U-21 player Carlos Espi to the senior squad.
Spain will host Czechia in the Nations League on October 3, and play away against Croatia on October 6.
