British minister: We have agreed on a new strategic partnership document with Azerbaijan
The United Kingdom and Azerbaijan have agreed on a new strategic partnership document, and signed a roadmap for transport and digital infrastructure.
According to Operativ Media, this was announced on social media by Lord Anas Sarwar, the UK Minister of State for Trade at the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Technology and a member of the House of Lords.
He noted that the agreements will deepen economic and security ties between the two nations.
Sarwar said that during his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, they agreed to cooperate in education, science, digital transformation, energy, and infrastructure.
According to the minister, the partnership will be built on the principles of open trade, investment, and innovation. He also stressed the importance of developing ties between people and businesses.
"I am in Baku, securing agreements and supporting British business and industry," Sarwar wrote.
