Tajikistan will fully support Azerbaijan's presidency of the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Operativ Media reports, citing AZERTAC, that President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon said this during the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan held in the city of Turkmenbashi.
He emphasized: "Tajikistan is ready to support Azerbaijan's constructive initiatives and assist in the practical implementation of the agreements reached. I am confident that mutual trust and good neighborliness will allow us to continue moving consistently toward our common goals. I congratulate Azerbaijan on its presidency, and we will support it in every possible way."
Emomali Rahmon also emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in the field of cybersecurity, expanding the exchange of information and practical experience, and training specialists.
Speaking about cultural and humanitarian cooperation, the President of Tajikistan noted that work on the translation of literary, historical, and cultural works is ongoing.
Emomali Rahmon paid special attention to the environmental agenda, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts to combat climate change, glacier melting, desertification, preserve biodiversity, and develop national parks.
