Astara Terminal Handles Over 631,000 Tons of Cargo in Nine Months

More than 631,000 tons of cargo were handled at the Astara Terminal (located in Iran) from January through September of this year.

Operativ Media reports, citing Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY).

This is approximately 33% higher than the figure for the same period last year.

In September alone, cargo volume increased by 52% year-on-year, exceeding 93,000 tons.

Once the Astara Terminal, where construction is nearing completion, becomes fully operational, it will expand regional cargo operations with an annual handling capacity of 3.5 to 4 million tons.
