The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has decided not to continue its cooperation with Vincenzo Montella, bringing an end to the Italian specialist's tenure as head coach of the Turkish national team.
Operativ Media reports that the decision was announced following a meeting of the federation's Board of Directors in Riva. It was noted that the TFF leadership will continue its duties until the next elective general assembly.
Montella's contract, which was renewed in 2025, was set to run until the end of the 2028 European Championship.
The Italian coach led the Turkish national team in a total of 40 matches, including both official and friendly games. Under his leadership, the team secured 21 wins, suffered 14 defeats, and drew 5 matches.
