Trump accuses Zelensky of failing to agree to peace deal

US President Donald Trump has stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is unwilling to agree to a peaceful resolution of the conflict for various reasons.

Operativ Media reports that Trump made the statement to journalists at Andrews Air Force Base near the White House upon his return to Washington from Tennessee.

According to the US leader, it was possible to resolve the Ukrainian conflict on multiple occasions, but Zelensky is unprepared to reach an agreement for unknown reasons.

Trump believes that had the Ukrainian president accepted a peace deal two years ago, he would currently be in a more favorable position.

Responding to a question regarding whether there are plans to send his special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Moscow for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, Trump expressed his belief that Russia is interested in striking a deal. He also noted that the matter has been discussed several times.
