Hungary Will Not Provide Military Aid to Ukraine
Hungary does not intend to provide military assistance to Ukraine or allow the transit of weapons through its territory.
Operativ Media reports that Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar stated this in an interview with the Finnish newspaper Helsingin Sanomat, with his remarks published by the online portal Index.
The head of government emphasized that Budapest's position also rules out the transit of weapons to Ukraine across Hungarian territory.
Peter Magyar also highlighted the importance of protecting the rights of the Hungarian minority living in Zakarpattia, noting that an agreement on this issue has already been reached.
At the NATO summit in Ankara in July, Peter Magyar previously stated that Hungary's new government would continue to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, but would not deliver weapons.
