Arsenal forward Alessia Russo has been named England Women's Player of the Year for the 2025–26 season.

Operativ Media reports that the 27-year-old won the prestigious award for the second time in her career following a fan vote.

Russo finished ahead of national teammates Lucy Bronze and Hannah Hampton in the final vote. She previously won the award for the 2023–24 season.

The player expressed that having the award decided directly by the fans made it particularly meaningful to her.

“Winning this award is very special, especially given that the decision was made directly by the fans. I love playing for the England national team. I hope a very successful season lies ahead of us,” Russo said.
