Official dinner hosted on behalf of Ilham Aliyev in honor of President of Laos

On October 13, an official dinner was hosted on behalf of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in honor of President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Thongloun Sisoulith.

Operativ Media reports that following the dinner, the heads of state of Azerbaijan and Laos, alongside Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos Thongsavanh Phomvihane, viewed photographs taken during National Leader Heydar Aliyev's 1986 visit to Laos while serving as First Deputy Chairman of the USSR Council of Ministers, capturing his meeting with then-Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Kaysone Phomvihane.

Kaysone Phomvihane was the father of Thongsavanh Phomvihane, Laos's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
