Venezia dismisses head coach Giovanni Stroppa

Venezia has parted ways with first-team head coach Giovanni Stroppa.

Operativ Media reports that the 58-year-old specialist had been managing the Italian side since the summer of 2025. In July this year, the club had extended his contract through 2029.

Under Stroppa's charge, Venezia earned promotion to Serie A. However, the team lost all six of its league matches in the 2026/2027 season. The squad currently sits at the bottom of the standings in 20th place.

During his managerial career, Giovanni Stroppa has also taken charge of Cremonese, Monza, and Crotone. He has also worked within AC Milan's setup and at other clubs.
