Chelsea defender Reece James undergoes knee surgery

English club Chelsea defender Reece James has undergone knee surgery.

Operativ Media reports, citing the club's press service, that the 26-year-old footballer has already begun the recovery process.

It is not yet known when the defender will return to action. He suffered the injury during training prior to the Premier League match against Bournemouth (5:1) on October 10.

It should be noted that the player has featured in four Premier League matches this season, receiving one yellow card. Chelsea currently sit sixth in the league standings with 10 points after six rounds.
