Dutch club Feyenoord has suffered its eighth consecutive away defeat in UEFA competitions.

Operativ Media reports that the Rotterdam side lost 0-1 away to Spain's Betis on October 21 in Matchday 3 of the UEFA Champions League league phase.

Prior to the match in Seville, Feyenoord's seven consecutive away losses had matched the club's worst-ever run in European competitions, previously set between 2008 and 2014. The defeat against Betis has now made this the longest negative streak away from home in the club's history.

The only goal of the match came in the 59th minute, when home captain Isco converted a penalty. The Spanish midfielder became the first player in Betis history to score in two consecutive Champions League matches.

Feyenoord created chances to equalize but failed to convert, with Civay Zehiel sending a shot over the crossbar. According to UEFA, the Rotterdam side's streak of scoring in Champions League away matches also ended against Betis.

Feyenoord has 3 points after three rounds. The Dutch team lost 1-5 to Barcelona in the opening round before securing a 3-2 home victory against Como in the second round.

The team will play its next Champions League match at home against Italian club Inter on November 3.
