Azerbaijan aims to introduce daily, weekly, and monthly railway ticket packages for tourists, as well as discounted destination-based ticket offers.

Operativ Media reports that this is reflected in the "State Program for Tourism Development for 2026–2030," approved today by President Ilham Aliyev.

The program also includes integrating railway ticket sales into the Global Distribution System (GDS), establishing conditions for operating non-scheduled (charter) flights on the Baku–Nakhchivan–Baku route to improve tourist travel arrangements to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and developing a sales model that enables tour operators to book tickets on the Baku–Nakhchivan–Baku route on the condition of selling travel packages.
