Wizz Air launches direct Baku–Bratislava flights
The new low-cost route provides expanded options for travel from Baku to Central Europe.
Travel opportunities from Heydar Aliyev International Airport to Europe have expanded with another destination. On October 28, Wizz Air, one of Europe's leading low-cost airlines, operated its first direct flight from Bratislava to Baku.
The new route offers a fresh alternative to Central Europe for passengers who prefer low-cost travel, adding Bratislava to the list of European capitals directly accessible from Baku.
Situated on the banks of the Danube, Bratislava is an attractive destination for short European trips with its compact historic center, Bratislava Castle, local gastronomy, and relaxed city atmosphere. Located just 9 km from the city center, the airport makes travel even more convenient.
Bratislava's geographical location in Central Europe adds further advantage to the route. The Slovak capital is located about 65 km from Vienna, serving as a convenient starting point for planning trips to other cities in the region.
Flights on the Baku–Bratislava route will operate twice a week during the winter season, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The direct flight time from Baku to Bratislava is approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes.
The new destination is part of ongoing efforts by Heydar Aliyev International Airport to expand direct flight opportunities for passengers, offer diverse travel and fare options, and strengthen Baku's air connectivity with European cities.
Detailed information on flight schedules, airtickets, baggage rules, and other services is available through Wizz Air's official sales channels.
