The FIDE Svetozar Gligoric Trophy Award Commission has announced the winners for 2026.

Operativ Media reports that one of the winners is chess player Tin Jingyao of Singapore. During the sixth round of the 2025 Almaty Open, Tin's opponent was delayed due to a traffic jam. Although Tin had the right to claim a technical victory, he allowed the match to be played.

The award was presented to the chess player by FIDE Vice President Mahir Mammadov.
