Mbappe achieves historic milestone in Champions League

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe scored in his 100th UEFA Champions League appearance, becoming one of eight players to score in a milestone match in the tournament.

Operativ Media reports, citing a UEFA feature dedicated to the French forward's achievements. A total of 57 players have reached the 100-match mark in the tournament's history.

His goal against Roma moved Mbappe up to fifth place on the Champions League's all-time top scorers list. As of October 14, he has 72 goals in the competition. The French forward was the tournament's top scorer last season with 15 goals.

Mbappe made his Champions League debut in September 2016 for Monaco at the age of 17. He scored his first goal in the tournament in February 2017 against Manchester City, in what was his fourth appearance in the competition.

The forward transferred to Real Madrid in 2024. According to UEFA, Mbappe reached the 50-goal milestone in the Champions League at age 26, a feat accomplished at a younger age only by Lionel Messi.
