Belgium national team forward Romelu Lukaku has shared his thoughts on his transfer from Italian club Napoli to Türkiye's Fenerbahce.

​Operativ Media reports that in an address published on the Istanbul club's social media accounts, the 33-year-old forward noted that joining the ranks of the team is a source of great pride for him.

Emphasizing his return after many years to Türkiye—where he spent his childhood years and was introduced to professional football at an early age thanks to his father—the Belgian footballer stated that he is fully ready and motivated.

The experienced striker made just seven appearances for Napoli last season, scoring one goal. In this year's World Cup, he recorded three goals and three assists in six matches.
