“We are united by friendly relations with Azerbaijan. There is no tension in Georgia-Azerbaijan relations.”

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said this, Operativ Media reports, citing 24News.ge.

He stated that there is no tension in Georgia's relations with the Azerbaijani government:

“We are united by friendly relations with Azerbaijan. Thanks to this friendship, we can discuss any issue very easily. All matters between the governments of Georgia and Azerbaijan are discussed in a friendly atmosphere,” Irakli Kobakhidze added.

Meanwhile, Irakli Kirtskhalia, the parliamentary majority leader of the ruling Georgian Dream party, also noted when answering journalists' questions that all speculation surrounding the statement on the Kurmukhi temple and the temple itself would be put to an end.

He noted that Azerbaijan is Georgia's closest historical and strategic partner, as well as a very great friend:

“Rest assured that the issue regarding the temple will be resolved, and developments will unfold in accordance with the interests of both nations,” Irakli Kirtskhalia added.
