Al Hadath: Iran agrees to halt uranium enrichment
Iran has reportedly agreed to halt uranium enrichment in exchange for the easing of U.S. sanctions.
Operativ Media reports, citing the Al Hadath television channel, that the decision was made as part of an agreement reached through mediators in the Iran-U.S. talks.
Iranian officials have not yet commented on the report.
Meanwhile, Reuters reported that separate talks between the U.S. and Iran, mediated by Qatar, will take place in New York.
Qatari mediators are expected to meet with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and the U.S. delegation.
