Chelsea are planning to sign Arsenal midfielder Martin Zubimendi during the winter transfer window.

Operativ Media reports, citing El Nacional. According to the report, the London club is ready to pay €70 million for the 27-year-old player.

It is reported that Zubimendi has agreed to join Chelsea. However, the club must reach an agreement with Arsenal for the transfer to be finalized.

The Spanish midfielder is seen as a replacement for Enzo Fernandez, who moved from Chelsea to Manchester City. Chelsea head coach Xabi Alonso previously worked with Zubimendi in the Real Sociedad reserve team.

According to reports, Zubimendi wants to leave Arsenal in the winter, citing a lack of playing time.

Zubimendi has been playing for Arsenal since July 2025. His contract with the London club runs until the summer of 2030. The midfielder has made eight appearances in all competitions this season, contributing one assist.
