Azerbaijan's Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, has sent a letter of condolence to the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Lieutenant General Dauren Kosanov.

Operativ Media reports that the message reads:

"I am deeply saddened by the news that nine servicemen lost their lives after falling into the sea during exercises in the Caspian Sea, one was injured, and seven went missing. I pray for God's mercy on those who died as a result of this tragic accident, share the grief of their loved ones, and offer my deepest condolences to their families. I wish the injured serviceman a speedy recovery. I hope that the search and rescue operations will yield positive results. May they rest in peace."
