Erdogan: Azerbaijan's liberation of its lands has created a new era in South Caucasus

Azerbaijan's liberation of its lands from occupation through the 44-day Patriotic War has opened the door to a new era in the South Caucasus.

Operativ Media reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this during a joint press conference with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Shusha.

"The task facing us today is to crown the victory won on the battlefield with lasting peace. Just as we embraced Azerbaijan's rightful struggle, we also support its efforts aimed at establishing lasting peace in our region. Every piece of historical heritage restored in Karabakh demonstrates the Azerbaijani people's faith in the future. We will continue to share our experience along this path."
