Ilham Aliyev: I have repeatedly said that no countries in the world are as close to each other as Azerbaijan and Türkiye

The 44-day Patriotic War once again demonstrated the unity between Türkiye and Azerbaijan.

Operativ Media reports that President Ilham Aliyev made the statement during a press press statement with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Recalling the signing of the historic Shusha Declaration in Shusha after the war, the head of state noted: “This officially raised our relations to the level of an alliance. Although, in truth, we were always allies anyway. The peoples of Türkiye and Azerbaijan are brotherly nations, and as I have said repeatedly, no nations or states in the world are as close to each other as we are.”
