In accordance with the 2026 training plan approved by the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, oath-taking ceremonies for young recruits were held in the Azerbaijani Army on November 8.

The Ministry of Defense informed Operativ Media about this.

The ceremonies officially began after military bands solemnly escorted battle flags onto the parade grounds.

First, a minute of silence was observed to honor the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland, followed by the playing of the National Anthem of Azerbaijan.

The young recruits solemnly took the military oath, pledging allegiance to the Motherland.

It was highlighted that holding the oath-taking ceremony on November 8 — Victory Day made the occasion particularly meaningful and memorable for the personnel, turning it into a double celebration.

Speaking at the event, parents of the recruits expressed pride in their children serving the Motherland with honor and thanked the head of state as well as the leadership of the Ministry of Defense for the conditions provided.

Afterward, the servicemen marched past the reviewing stands in a solemn parade.

The events concluded with concert programs organized for the personnel to mark the oath-taking ceremony and November 8 — Victory Day.
