Elchin Guliyev Congratulates State Border Service Personnel on Victory Day
November 8 is one of the most magnificent pages in the centuries-old statehood history of the Azerbaijani people, a celebration of our national will, invincible spirit, and steadfast unity.
Operativ Media reports that this was stated in a congratulatory message by Colonel General Elchin Guliyev, Chief of the State Border Service (SBS), to the personnel on the occasion of November 8 – Victory Day.
"This historic day has become an eternal symbol of our people's faith in justice, love for the Motherland, and determination in the struggle for our sacred lands," the head of the SBS stated.
The congratulatory message noted that thanks to the farsighted policy, resolute will, and wise leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, who firmly continues the statehood strategy set by National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the 44-day Patriotic War in 2020 ended in a magnificent Victory for the people:
"The personnel of the State Border Service also distinguished themselves with their combat skill, high professionalism, courage, and selflessness in securing this glorious Victory, honorably fulfilling their sacred duty to the Motherland.
The restoration of state borders in our liberated lands and the reconstruction of the border protection and defense system was one of the most important stages of the State Border Service's historic mission. Today, the majestic waving of our tricolor State Flag in those lands is a source of infinite pride and honor for every Azerbaijani border guard."
