Erdogan: Restoration of Historical Heritage in Qarabag Demonstrates Azerbaijani People's Faith in the Future

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed his satisfaction at celebrating the 6th anniversary of the Qarabag Victory in Shusha alongside Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Operativ Media reports that he shared a post about it on his social media account.

“I was pleased to celebrate the 6th anniversary of the Qarabag Victory together with the President of Azerbaijan, my dear brother Ilham Aliyev, in beautiful Shusha, a city of history, nature, and culture.

Six years ago, united around a single cause under the decisive leadership of my brother Ilham, the Azerbaijani people showed great heroism and restored freedom to Qarabag.

This glorious victory continues to be the finest manifestation of Azerbaijan’s just cause and a source of pride for the entire Turkic world.

Azerbaijan’s liberation of its lands from occupation in the 44-day Patriotic War marked the beginning of a new era in the South Caucasus.

The task facing us today is to crown the victory won on the battlefields with lasting peace and stability.

Just as we stood by Azerbaijan’s rightful struggle, we also support its sincere efforts aimed at ensuring lasting peace in our region.

We follow with great appreciation Azerbaijan’s efforts to rebuild Qarabag and restore the region to its former vitality.

The smoke rising once again from every hearth in Qarabag, the erection of every new structure, and the restoration of historical heritage demonstrate the Azerbaijani people’s faith in the future.

God willing, we will continue to share our experience on this path and contribute to reconstruction and development efforts.”
