The expansion of the Azerbaijan-Germany economic partnership, the development of trade and investment ties, joint projects, and business cooperation opportunities were discussed at an additional panel session organized as part of the Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum.

Operativ Media reports that an additional panel session titled "Germany-Azerbaijan Economic Partnership: Business Dialogue and Cooperation" was held within the framework of the Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, held in Baku under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

Speaking at the session organized in cooperation with the German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce, Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli emphasized that the official visit of the President of Azerbaijan to Germany in July 2026 plays an important role in the development of the bilateral partnership. The meetings held with the President and the Federal Chancellor reaffirmed the shared commitment to closer cooperation. Joint declarations on the Strategic Agenda for Bilateral Partnership and on the establishment and operation of the Azerbaijan-Germany Business Council create a stronger framework for expanding trade and investment, as well as deepening energy cooperation.

Opportunities for deepening the partnership with Germany in industrial and technology transfer, efficient use of energy and resources, transport and logistics, access to regional markets, and other areas were highlighted.

The panel session was attended by Michael Harms, Executive Director of the German Eastern Business Association; Hannes Ametsreiter, Chairman of the Board of 1Global; Yusif Abdullayev, Executive Director of AZPROMO; and Azer Vahabzade, CEO of Milla Dairy.

Panel participants shared their views on the current state and development prospects of Azerbaijan-Germany economic relations, promotion of mutual investments, expansion of industrial cooperation, and opportunities for collaboration in technology and innovation. Discussions also focused on expanding direct ties between the private sectors, establishing new business partnerships, and implementing joint projects.
