A panel discussion on "Intangible Investments: Capital of the Future and a New Driving Force of Economic Growth" has been held as part of the Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum.

Operativ Media reports that a panel discussion on "Intangible Investments: Capital of the Future and a New Driving Force of Economic Growth" was organized as part of the Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, held under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

Held in cooperation with the UK company TP Engineering Services LLP, the event reviewed the role of intangible assets as a new source of productivity, competitiveness, and long-term economic growth.

The discussions highlighted the importance of investing in intellectual property, software, data, research and development, brands, and organizational capabilities. The valuation, accounting, and financing of intangible assets, the role of financial institutions and investors in this area, as well as the creation of legal and institutional frameworks promoting knowledge-based investments, were also discussed.

The panel featured an exchange of views on transforming innovation, know-how, and intellectual capital into business value, export opportunities, and new investments.

The discussion was moderated by Teodor Geonov, representative of AnewZ. The panel was attended by Hikmat Abdullayev, Deputy Vice President of SOCAR; Yusif Abdullayev, Executive Director of AZPROMO; Albert Traxler, Sales Director for Eastern Europe and CIS at Austria's POERNER; Rustam Ismayilov, Founder and CEO of TP Engineering and Consultancy; Narmin Jafarova, Head of Project Development at Caspian Business Hub; and Vitaly Yakovlev, Managing Partner of the international professional services firm KPMG Azerbaijan.
