Real Madrid striker Endrick to spend next season at club

Real Madrid's Brazilian forward Endrick has decided to spend the 2026/27 season with the Spanish club and will not be loaned out to another team.

Operativ Media reports, citing The Athletic.

Although several European sides, including England's Aston Villa, showed interest in the 20-year-old footballer, the striker intends to stay and fight for a place in the starting lineup. The decision was reached by mutual agreement among the player, the Madrid management, and head coach Jose Mourinho.

Since head coach Jose Mourinho does not consider Federico Valverde and Bernardo Silva options for the right wing of attack, the Brazilian player is expected to get more opportunities in that position in the upcoming season. Nevertheless, the "Royal Club" could re-evaluate the forward's status in the squad in January 2027. A similar situation occurred in early 2026, leading to the player spending the second half of the season on loan at French side Lyon.

Endrick transferred to Real Madrid from Palmeiras in July 2024 after turning 18. The transfer cost the Madrid club €35 million, with an additional €25 million in potential bonuses included in the contract. The player has scored 7 goals in 40 appearances for the capital team. During his loan spell at Lyon, he recorded 8 goals and 8 assists in 21 matches. This summer, he reached the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup with the Brazil national team, playing in 4 matches without registering a goal or assist.
