The implementation of the TRIPP project could significantly boost the South Caucasus's role in the international logistics system, in addition to expanding transport links between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Operativ Media reports that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this during his address at the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

Pashinyan stated that the project envisages establishing an unimpeded connection between the main part of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic through Armenian territory.

According to the prime minister, after nearly 35 years of conflict, the parties are already discussing the possibilities of establishing pipelines, power lines, and highways alongside the East-West railway under the TRIPP framework. He added that implementing these projects could create new economic and transport opportunities for the entire South Caucasus.
