Eleven documents covering various sectors were signed on the first day of the Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum.

Operativ Media reports that the documents cover construction and development, the digital economy, renewable energy, industry, agriculture, veterinary medicine, pharmaceuticals, finance, water resources management, and investment promotion.

The cooperation document in construction and development was signed by Deputy Minister of Economy Anar Akhundov and Ta Ngoc Da, Deputy CEO of ROX Group Joint Stock Company.

The cooperation document on the development of Azerbaijan's digital economy was signed by Deputy Minister of Economy Azer Bayramov and Gabriela Popescu, General Manager of Microsoft Romania, Moldova & CIS.

The cooperation document on solar and wind energy projects in Azerbaijan was signed by Deputy Minister of Energy Elnur Soltanov and Pham Minh Tuan, Chairman of the Executive Board of Energy Companies – ROX Group.

The document on the production of silicon carbide, silicon oxide, and silicon based on new technologies was signed by Valeh Alasgarov, Chairman of the Board of the Alat Free Economic Zone Authority, and Vitaly Evdokimenko, founder of Inoyest AFEZCO.

The document on the ABAK-WASSERSTEIN Swiss-Azerbaijani plantation and processing enterprises projects was signed by Seymur Orucov, Head of the Agstafa District Executive Power, and Zoltan Peter Stuchlik, representative of iCsquared GmbH.

The document on the Agdam poultry project was signed by Ulvi Mansurov, Chairman of the Board of the Business Development Fund of Azerbaijan, Niyazi Amirbayov, CEO of AgroDairy LLC, and Petr Cingr, Vice Chairman of the Board of AGROFERT, a.s.

The document on the veterinary vaccine production project was signed by Ulvi Mansurov and Abdullah Tutak, Director of VETAL HAYVAN SAGLIGI URUNLERI A.S.

The document on the acquisition of a non-controlling stake in Azer-Turk Bank OJSC by the Azerbaijan-Oman Direct Investment Fund was signed by Acting CEO Dayanat Sadullayev and Saif Almahrouqi, Senior Manager for G2G Funds at the Oman Investment Authority.

The cooperation document between Esyasoft, the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency, and SOCAR was signed by SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf, Esyasoft representative Bibin Chandra, and ADSEA Chairman Zaur Mikayilov.

Operativ Media reports that the signed documents envisage cooperation in construction and development, renewable energy, industry, agriculture, veterinary medicine, pharmaceuticals, finance, water resources management, sports, investment promotion, and digital technologies.

Among the documents are agreements on cooperation with ROX Group in construction and development, the implementation of solar and wind energy projects in Azerbaijan, as well as the production of silicon carbide, silicon oxide, and silicon based on new technology.

In addition, documents were signed on the establishment of plantation and processing enterprises in Agstafa, the implementation of a poultry project in Agdam, the production of veterinary vaccines, and the creation of a pharmaceutical enterprise.

Furthermore, documents were finalized regarding the acquisition of a non-controlling stake in Azer-Turk Bank OJSC by the Azerbaijan-Oman Direct Investment Fund, cooperation between Esyasoft, SOCAR, and the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency, as well as a strategic partnership between SOCAR and the Italian Football Federation.

Within the framework of the forum, a document on cooperation in investment promotion between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, as well as a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Economy and Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, were also signed.
