Jeyhun Bayramov chaired the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States.

Operativ Media reports that Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov chaired and addressed the informal meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States, held on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

In his speech, the minister emphasized the strategic importance of further deepening unity among Turkic states and strengthening multilateral cooperation in the face of global challenges.

Jeyhun Bayramov spoke about the key activities carried out during Azerbaijan's presidency of the OTS, noting that obtaining observer status for the organization at the UN General Assembly is one of the common goals.

He noted the importance of strengthening transport links and transit infrastructure in the Turkic geography, as well as expanding practical cooperation in trade, energy, ICT, science, technology, and culture.

The minister stated that Azerbaijan supports Turkey hosting COP31 in Antalya and the 13th OTS Summit in Ankara.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Statement of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States was adopted.

An informal meeting of the OTS Council of Foreign Ministers has been held, hosted by Azerbaijan, which holds the rotating chairmanship of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

Operativ Media reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey released information about this.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

The meeting discussed preparations for the 13th OTS Summit to be held in Turkey on October 29-30, as well as global and regional developments related to the Turkic world.
