A landmine explosion occurred on August 21, 2026, in the liberated Dudukchu village of the Khojavand district, according to a joint statement from the press services of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General's Office, and the Mine Action Agency (ANAMA).

A tractor driven by Sumgayit resident Ramal Shirinov (born 1983) struck a landmine in an uncleared area. Shirinov sustained various bodily injuries in the blast.

The Khojavand District Prosecutor's Office is investigating the incident.
