President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev arrived in the Republic of Uzbekistan on a state visit on August 23.

Operativ Media reports that a guard of honor was lined up in honor of the Azerbaijani head of state at Tashkent International Airport.

President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva were welcomed by President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his wife Ziroatkhon Mirziyoyeva.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will visit Uzbekistan on August 23-24.

Operativ Media reports that high-level talks, as well as the third session of the Supreme Interstate Council chaired by the leaders of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, are scheduled to take place in Tashkent as part of the visit.
