Speaking before supporters in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, US President Donald Trump stated that he now considers the Strait of Hormuz to be United States territory.

​Operativ Media reports that the politician emphasized they would never allow Tehran to acquire nuclear weapons, which is why Washington intervened to stop them.

​According to him, although Iran is interested in reaching a deal, the White House's approach to the matter remains ambiguous. Trump stressed in his speech that this is precisely why the Strait of Hormuz is now regarded as American territory.
