Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, in a press statement in Tashkent, highlighted the special role of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in attracting investments to Karabakh.

Operativ Media reports that the head of state said: "Once again, I would like to note the special role of President Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev in attracting investments to Karabakh. The first assistance was provided by Uzbekistan: the construction of a 960-seat school named after Mirzo Ulugbek in Fuzuli, and investment in a garment factory in Khankendi. The first major industrial enterprise is also linked to Uzbekistan."
