Man on International Wanted List Since 2009 Brought to Azerbaijan
As part of ongoing counterterrorism and operational search measures conducted by the State Security Service (SSS) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Namiq Rashid oglu Aghalarov, who had been on the international wanted list since 2009, has been detained, brought to Azerbaijan, and placed under investigation.

Operativ Media reports that Namiq Aghalarov is accused of operating within illegal armed groups in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and other countries between 2008 and 2009. He allegedly took part in setting up armed ambushes against personnel of the UN-mandated International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), deploying remotely detonated explosive devices, and organizing armed attacks against representatives of international organizations, citizens of various nations carrying out international missions, and logistical networks.

Information also indicates that Aghalarov, who concealed his identity under various aliases across different countries over the years to evade criminal liability, was also engaged in jihad and radical religious propaganda activities.
