Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed its condolences to the Central African Republic.

Operativ Media reports that this was stated in a post on the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry's X account.

"We are deeply saddened by the news of the fatal accident at a gold mine in the Central African Republic that caused the loss of numerous lives and injuries.

We extend our deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, as well as to the people and Government of the Central African Republic. We wish a swift and full recovery to the injured and hope that the safety of all those affected by the incident is ensured as soon as possible," the statement read.
